Wafai Architecture
WAFAI is a young Architecture and Design practice based in Torino-Italy, working on architecture,
landscape and interior design, founded late 2018 by Wafai an architect and automotive designer.
Worked in the automotive industry as an exterior designer and then as a user experience/user interface designer for a major automotive OEM company in Torino.
Architecture is a product of culture and civilization, therefore my philosophy to approach architecture is always concentrated on simplicity, light,
and the experience of the spaces, transitions and the atmosphere,
all enhanced with one strong theme (or special spatial arrangement) and everything that surrounds the theme is simplified.

LAKE HOUSE
The house located in Switzerland on the lake Türlersee, it is supposed to be a vacation house for a small family ( a couple and a baby on the way ) It was initially for a client but the project unfortunately didn’t show up as the client had difficulties acquiring the land ,I decided to visit the area alone after studying the area on the internet, and I was fascinated by its nature, it's far better than any image found online.
The inspiration came from studying the site features and contrasting them gently some times, and emphasizing them some other times.
The dynamic form of the house stands in quite a contrast against the lush forest behind.
But the surface of the wall gradually transforms itself into a roof element, these dynamic lines drive the eye sight to the forest and merge the house in the environment, gently without bothering the sky,forest and water scene.
The wood/glass, wall/roof move progressively, providing a natural sun light complement the simple, yet cozy interior design, and a panoramic view for the sky and the forest.
The dynamic open space starts to move progressively as the wall/roof around the entrance as you walk inside the house, and create a playful space towards the glassed main facade.
It will be difficult to tell apart from its surroundings in the months of winter.
For materials I used casted concrete/blocks, covered with plaster, and a little bit of wood when necessarily to create the colour/feel variations of the space and save money to use it for the main theme of the building which in this case is the roo

A Simplified sophistication,
The house celebrates its simplicity on its own way with its calm color palletes and, material selection.
with its simple layout and elegant spatial arrangement, A house with A comfortable living Space, stylish design ,and maximized area,
merged with its scene and environemnt gently.
Taking the advantage of the site with its clear east facade that brings as much light as possible inside the open space.
The ground floor serves as a one open space, where there is a big isolated kitchen near the entrance, a big living room, and an aggressive
stairs, placed inside an internal garden, and contains a relaxing zone with chimney surrounded with green and vegetations.
The ground floor contains also 2 big bed rooms and a bathroom.
While the master bedroom with its utilities takes its place in the cylinder (1st floor) to crown the composition and give
a profound hierarchy for the house functions.
